The short version

When2? stores the reminders you create and the email address you sign in with. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone for advertising. You can export everything or delete all of it yourself, at any time, from Settings.

What is stored

  • Your email address, and your name and profile photo if you sign in with Google. This comes from Firebase Authentication.
  • The items you track: what they are, how often they need doing, when you last did them, any notes, and any odometer readings you enter.
  • A record of each time you mark something done.
  • Anything you send through the feedback form, along with your browser version and which page you were on, so a reported glitch can be reproduced.
  • Anonymous page view counts through Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you.

Where it lives

Your data is held in Google Cloud Firestore, part of Firebase. The site itself is hosted by Vercel. Both companies process data on our behalf and have their own privacy terms.

Security rules mean your items can only be read by your own signed-in account.

Your browser

Firebase keeps your sign-in session in browser storage so you are not asked to sign in on every visit. When2? also remembers your theme and animation preferences, and any items you add before signing up, in the same way. None of that leaves your device until you sign in.

Getting it back, or getting rid of it

Settings has a CSV export of everything you track, and an option to delete your account. Deleting removes every item, every completion you have logged, and the account itself. It is immediate, permanent, and there is no backup, so export first if you might want the data.

Changes

If what is collected ever changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
